Eve D. Birnbaum, Esq.

Eve D. Birnbaum, the founder and principal of Eve Birnbaum Associates, has had a successful career spanning more than 25 years in the global law firm industry. She is a former corporate partner of Winston & Strawn LLP, and former director at two other international firms. As the Legal Director of the corporate practice at Proskauer Rose LLP for 11 years, she oversaw professional development & training, evaluations & promotions, and recruiting, onboarding & outplacement for the corporate department worldwide. Eve also managed the work assignments for the 100+ attorneys in the practice. This gave her the unique opportunity to provide daily counseling to the associates and facilitate their career advancement. At Milbank LLP, where Eve was Global Director of Legal Recruiting, she also served on the firmwide Diversity Committee and the Professional Development Committee. In that capacity, she oversaw firmwide attorney hiring, and created training and recruiting initiatives for women and other diverse populations.

In addition to her practice and director positions at top AMLaw firms, Eve and her team at EBA have had the pleasure of working with some of the top law and financial services firms in the world, including Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, Baker Hostetler LLP, Mayer Brown LLP, Arent Fox LLP, MetLife Services & Solutions LLC, FTI Consulting Inc, Herrick Feinstein LLP, and Labaton Sucharow LLP.

Eve is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was an editor of the Journal of International Law & Politics. She is active in the Bar of The City of New York where she was a member of the Women in the Legal Profession and Career Advancement & Management Committees, as well as the NYSBA Women’s Division. Eve is also an alumna of the Professional Development Consortium. She publishes and blogs on women’s career advancement and how to succeed as an associate in Biglaw, including as guest blogger on The Careerist, posted on the AmLaw Daily.
